Jimmy Woo

I was asked to design for the Jimmy Woo because they were setting up a sort of A-Team to try and bring the Jimmy Woo back to its former glory.

Starting with the logo. The Asian logo that’s used in this logo in the official logo of Jimmy woo. I thought it would be cool to put it in an old school magazine concept. A nightclub and a magazine have a lot of things in common. They have their own identity but also feature a lot of other things that have their own identity too. Information is displayed at the front; Name, pricing, location, features. So I leaned heavily on that.

I don’t think we ever got around of launching this poster campagne, but this was an example of how we could display the nights we had at the Jimmy Woo. Neatly numbers that could also be used in the social media artwork

One of the big things that I loved doing was adding my own choice of music. I knew hiphop was big in Amsterdam/Netherlands/World. So I wanted to do like a remix of a very popular song at the time. So that they still have something to recognize but put a little twist on it.

I thought that would be a good way to re-introduce the Jimmy. Familiar and enjoyable, but with a little twist
